"I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." (John 10:10)
We used the place value counters to practically explore column addition.
As part of our Home Learning we were asked to practise reading scales of measure. Many of us decided to practise our skills by baking! A special thanks to Kayra, Jack, Beatrice, Ava, Darcie-Mae, Daniel, Lucy, Kolbi, Rosie, Clara and George for the delicious treats!
We have been spending the first few weeks of Year 3 developing our knowledge of place value.
In this game we practised regrouping by finding as many ways as possible to make 217. We were only allowed to use a maximum of 20 counters.
We played the banker game to support our knowledge of regrouping. When we didn't have enough ones to subtract, we had regroup a ten for ten ones.
