It is very important to encourage children in the good habits of punctuality and attendance.
If children are absent from school because of illness, parents should notify the school by telephone and then follow this up with a letter explaining the nature of the absence. Failure to do so will result in the absence being recorded in the register as unauthorised and this will have to be included on your child's report. School registers are monitored each term by the School's Attendance Improvement Officer.
