The children at St. Catherine’s are taught using cross-curricular links wherever possible. This means that learning at St. Catherine’s is always fun!  Curriculum information about each subject is shown for each year group in their termly letter to parents.  Take a look at what our children will be and have been learning about recently by clicking on the appropriate key stage or year group.

St Catherine's Got Talent 2022

What a WONDERFUL treat we had this afternoon! In aid of Children in Need, we were finally able to hold St Catherine's Got Talent once more, having not been able to do so for a few years. All of the auditionees should be so proud of their amazing efforts. We watched a huge variety of talents over the course of the audition week - from comedy to gymnastics, fishy facts to musical theatre and a huge array of wonderful singing, dancing and instrument playing. What a talented bunch we are!

Well done to all auditionees and finalists - you should be so proud of your bravery, courage and amazing talents. A big well done to our year 6 acro-dance group - 'Tsunami' - who were crowned St Catherine's Got Talent champions 2022. Enjoy your well deserved glitterball trophy! Have a watch of their performance below.

A huge thanks to Mrs Leslie, Miss Baker and Miss Gray for their hard work in organising such a brilliant event. We loved welcoming back previous winners to judge our talent and we extend our thanks to Mr Shepherd and Mrs Charalambous for joining us to judge too.

Take a look at some of our outstanding performances below...

Virtual Collective Worship

Ysmena is back with her final (very appropriately themed!) collective worship. This week the theme is 'Rest'. It comes at a time when I'm sure many of us are looking forward to a break - time to relax, unwind and enjoy some time with family and friends.

Gracie's Chop for Charity!

Well done to Gracie and her uncle for having their long hair cut for the Little Princess Trust. Their hair will be used to make wigs for children who lose their hair due to cancer treatments to help restore their confidence. Gracie has manage to raise £1452 for the charity so far and we are so proud of her. Her new hairstyle looks great too! This is actually Gracie's second time donating to the Little Princess Trust which is amazing! Thank you Gracie!

Virtual Collective Worship - 1st July 2020

Ysmena is back with the next instalment of our virtual collective worship. This week it is based upon St Peter, as on the 29th June, St Peter's Day was celebrated.

In this film, she talks about the decorated Ware rocks. Have any of you spotted any of them whilst out? Have you made any yourselves? Let us know if you have!

Whilst you watch the story, consider the pieces that make up your puzzle. What makes you, you?

Virtual Collective Worship - 22nd June 2020

Great news, St Mary's Church is now open for visitors again! Have a watch of Ysmena's church tour to see what you could expect if you choose to visit.

There's also a lovely interactive prayer that you could take part in.

Virtual Collective Worship - 12th June 2020

Have a watch of Ysmena's virtual worship, based upon the Trinity.

Could you create your own interpretation of the Trinity, just like Alice? You may like to use the idea of the shamrock or you may have you own ideas. We'd love to see any art work that you create so please send it our way!

AIMEE'S CAKES FOR CARERS

We would like to say a very big well done to Aimee in Year 3I for her amazing fundraising project. Aimee created her own sweet treats order form and posted it locally to raise money for the NHS. Since then, she has been busily baking sweet treats for family, friends and neighbours and has currently raised £185 for the NHS. We are SUPER proud of you, Aimee!
