D&T Playground Structures
Year 6 have spent the last week designing, constructing and evaluating model playgrounds. Initially, we looked at lots of examples of playgrounds to identify features and consider our preferences. We then wrote a design criteria as a class and began the planning and designing process. Once we had designed, we set about creating our structures, choosing from the range of materials available to us. We developed our sawing skills and use glue guns to secure the materials together. After completion, we evaluated our designs and also evaluated the process as a class. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed this unit!
Have a look at how we got on.
