St Catherine's pupil premium grant is awarded by the government at the beginning of each financial year and is based upon numbers of eligible pupils in the school. Those eligible may be in receipt of free school meals, be 'looked after' by the local authority, or be children of someone in service. The funding is 'ring-fenced' and is used to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils of all abilities and to close the gaps between them and their peers.
The school updates it's pupil premium statement annually (below). This statement outlines how the funding is spent and the impact and is updated annually in line with amount of funding received each May and pupil progress/attainment at the end of each academic year (July).
