We have started the Summer term by learning about perimeter and area. We will then move on to properties of shape and angles. After half term, we will be recapping the four operations, fractions, money and time. It will really help your child to practise telling the time to the nearest five minutes so that they can apply this to problem-solving contexts. They need to be able to tell the time on an analogue clock, as well as a digital clock. In June, all Year 4 children will sit the statutory Multiplication Tables Check set by the government. In this, they will use a Chromebook to answer 25 times tables questions with a 6-second time limit for each question. We are continuing to practise for this in class but ask that your child regularly practises on the timestables.co.uk website. They should use their login for this so we can keep monitoring their progress.
